Confederation of African Football Facts

CAF (Confederation of African Football) is the administrative body for association football in Africa. The CAF regulates and oversees the football rules being respected. Both national competitions and club competitions are organised and regulated for both men and women teams.

Non-regional Members

Zanzibar and Réunion are not fully CAF members. They are associate members of CAF but not FIFA members. This means the club sides of both countries are acknowledged and are allowed to participate in continental club tournaments. However the national teams of Zanzibar and Réunion are not allowed to play in the African Cup of Nations, World Cup or other FIFA tournaments.
